“ALAMEDA—On the first Sunday of every month, the Alameda Point Antiques Faire draws more than 750 merchants who peddle Victorian doorknobs, rusted gas station signs, old glassware and almost every manner of dusty treasure in between.

Just don’t call it a “flea market.”

“This is not the sort of place where you are going to see tube socks,” said Allen Michaan, the show’s organizer at Antiques by the Bay Inc., which runs the event.”
